Sireg Geotech, Milano-Bicocca University and Studio Ing. A. Pettinaroli have developed and patented the Injection Tube System (ITS), an innovative system that reproduces the soil injection procedure using Durvinil® Sleeved Grouting pipes.

The ITS is the first device able to simulate grouting treatments in a laboratory setting, enabling the observation and analysis of the changes in the mechanical characteristics of the treated soil during and after the treatment. The objective is to perfect the system in order to determine the most suitable mixtures and injection parameters to optimize specific grouting projects.

The first ITS filed demonstration took place on February 2018 at the “39th Grouting Fundamentals and Current Practice Annual Short Course” at The University of Texas at Austin.
